The simple answer: yes! Premature ejaculation – which basically means reaching orgasm almost immediately after entering the vagina – almost always results from one of two underlying causes:

1.) Prostatic engorgement – every time a man becomes sexually aroused, he starts making seminal fluid, the gooey substance that comes out during ejaculation. This fluid is stored in the seminal vesicles. When so much fluid accumulates that even a little bit more will stretch the vesicles capacity, orgasm is triggered to relieve the pressure of fluid build-up.

THE CURE: Horseback riding! The vigorous massage of the perineal area (deep in which the prostate gland and seminal vesicles reside, relieves this congestion, and successfully treats the condition.

2.) Conditioned mono-synaptic reflex – masturbation usually involves very intense stimulation of the most erotically responsive areas. Continuous repetition of this can result in the establishment of a spinal reflex that triggers orgasm just to stop the intense stimuli. Normally, the impulses travel to the brain, which, eventually, sends the signal to start orgasm. The spinal reflex, once established, short circuits this by bridging sensory and response nerves at the spinal level.

THE CURE: The early, simple phenothiazines, Thorazine (chlorpromazine), for instance, used to treat nausea (and psychosis) are also effective in abolishing mono-synaptic reflexes.
