Mteryti® Folic 5 contains 17 vitamins and minerals, including 5 mg of Folic Acid for use 2-3 months prior to pregnancy, until 10-12 weeks of gestation. After 10-12 weeks of gestation, patients should stop taking Mteryti® folic 5, and continue their supplement use with Mteryti®.

Mteryti® Folic 5 is a specifically formulated for women, doctor prescribed, and who may be at higher risk of developing a pregnancy with neural tube defects (NTDs).  Only as assessed by a healthcare professional as risk factors for NTDs include, but are not limited to:

• Previous pregnancy affected by a NTD
• Family history of NTD
• Diabetes or malabsorption disorders
• Taking medications used for seizure control or those that are known to decrease folate levels
