Leading Atmospheric Water Generator installer and manufacturer Altitude Water, creators of the Trident-12 and Trident-100 AWG units, is partnering with nonprofit The Footprint Project in a fundraiser to build three new Disaster Relief Trailers following recovery efforts during Hurricane Helene. The Disaster Relief Trailer (DRT) was previously spotted on Fox Carolina and NBC6 providing aid to disaster victims.
The Footprint Project has previously worked with Altitude Water multiple times over the past 14 months. In order to better serve community needs across the U.S. and overseas, Altitude Water realized the necessity for more DRTs ahead of not just hurricane season 2025, but in preparation for all kinds of disasters (such as the wildfires that devastated Maui).
The fundraiser, with a goal of $170,000 for the first trailer, is available below:

When disaster strikes, access to clean water, electricity, shelter, and Wi-Fi becomes scarce. The DRT:
- Can produce 210 gallons of water harvested from the air daily
- Can purify up to 1,000 gallons from an external source daily
- Is enabled with Starlink internet that can provide Wi-Fi for up to 100 people within a 0.5 mile radius
- Is built with solar panels that generate 12 kWh, with 5.6 kWh for operations and 6.4 kWh for battery storage, as well as a gas generator for power backup.
These powerful attributes provide prompt, life–saving care to those who need it most.
Altitude Water’s AWGs work by pulling water directly out of the humidity in the air. The water is then purified, remineralized, and alkalized through a unique, patented process ensuring safety and quality. This technology also fights back against rampant microplastic contamination as well as pollution impacting our water resources.
