To compliment  the smart and friendly voice the book is written in, the recipes are well worth their salt (or lack thereof) as well. Between  the fried crab fritters and the Christmas lima bean soup, or the crunchy banana waffles and the global egg rolls, there are certainly at least a few courses for everyone. There are recipes for food lovers of every cooking skill level and flavor preference. On top of all of this Dunnington makes a point to mention any possible ways of making these dishes in an eco-friendly manner and even includes a glossary of eco-friendly techniques and tips. Regardless of your confidence in cooking or your charisma in the kitchen “Tasting the Seasons” is a cook book for those who want to share an all around pleasing meal with friends or loved ones.

Vegan Fresh!

Break out the sticky notes, as you’ll find them sticking out on pages all over this book.  Have you had a theme picnic in mind and want it to be completely Vegan…there’s a section for that!  Short on time, we’ll this cookbook gives both Prep and Cook time which makes for efficient kitchen time especially for those of us on the go!  Wait, did you think that was social media symbols?  Close…there’s little symbols that show Gluten, Soy or Nuts for those sensitive to certain foods or have allergies.

Vegan al Fresco by Carla Kelly truly makes it a delight to thumb through for some Vegan recipe ideas and has just enough images that make the book look even more healthy and inviting.  Nice work Carla!

Vegan, 350 Ways!

Deb Roussou hits the spot!  Her book “350 best Vegan recipes” gives a real kitchen feel as the book opens into a vegan pantry.  You can actually feel healthier just reading all the meal recipes with great informative tips on each.

Deb covers it all for anyone that’s making that transition to Vegan or simply gives those that have been Vegan for sometime, some new ideas.  Cheers!
